Stove-top potpourri

Remember how wonderful your house smells when you fry those spices or brew a fresh cup of coffee? A stovetop potpourri works in the same fashion. Bring your favourite spices and essential oils to simmer in a pan of water and watch the fragrance fill the air. Try out this combination of coconut and lime fusion.

Simply fill a pan with water and add coconut extracts and a few slices of lime. Bring the water to boil and then simmer. The blend of coconut and lime will resonate the fresh fragrance of spring.

Indoor herb garden

Onset of Spring brings with it new blossoms and lush green plants. Set up a small indoor herb garden in your house and you would be surprised how clean and natural the rooms smells every time you step in. DIY essential oil spray

Essential oils are so versatile. Apart from their significant benefits in treating health conditions through aromatherapy, they can also be used as perfectly safe and chemical-free air fresheners. Why hang on to toxic air sprays when you can easily make your own natural air fresheners. Here are a few spring scents that will make you home smell lively year round.

In order to make a DIY essential oil room spray, simply fill a bottle halfway with water . To this add baking soda and 3-5 drops Lavender, lemon or rosemary essential oils.

DIY reed diffuser

A reed diffuser works a lot like scented candles, the only difference being that a reed diffuser doesn’t have a flame.

All you need to do is take a glass bottle without a cap and place a few reeds inside it. Add a few drops of essential oils and permeate the reeds in almond oil. This scent would make its way to the top of the reeds and would then slowly disperse the scent into the air!

Ground coffee

This might come as a surprise but you can actually use ground coffee to freshen up the air. All you need to do is let the ground coffee dry. Then, transfer it to a bowl and place it in a room of concern.
