Make way for fresh air
The best way to scent your home is by letting the fresh air come in. During the day time make it a point to keep the windows open to allow cross-ventilation, and ample sunlight. The air circulation will automatically remove any bad odor (provided you don’t live near a dump ;p) and sunlight is the best natural disinfectant. The warmth will kick in the cozy smell.
Alternatively, on humid days, when there is no wind blowing outside, switch on the fans and let the air circulate throughout the room by keeping windows open. A well aerated house is the first step to a great smelling home.
Deodorize your home frequently
Deodorizing the home does not mean to simply spray some fresheners. Before that, find the source of the odor and get rid of them. Look around your living space and identify things that are prone to causing bad odor. Frequently change or dispose these thing to nip the bad odor in the bud. A few common things that might be the root cause of smelly corners are:
Use artificial Air fresheners
Once you have recognized and eliminated the cause for the bad odor, it is now the time to diffuse your favourite fragrance into the air. Other than turning to the regular room freshners , consider burning some Handmade incense sticks, scented candles, or use an essential oil diffuser, that will not only leave the place smelling good, but the aroma that unfurls will also have a therapeutic effect on your mood.
However, do not attempt to use all the home fresheners together. Even if you do, make sure that the fragrance of each of them complement other.
Use carpet fresheners
